Is there any cost or registration required to attend this event?
No, there is no cost or registration required to participate. However, certain tracks might require registration, such as the Middle School Track and the Children’s Track.
Should I genuflect during the processions?
You should kneel during the processions when the Blessed Sacrament is passing. You should genuflect anytime you are entering or leaving the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
Are banners allowed in the afternoon procession?
No, there are no banners allowed in the afternoon procession. Banners are only permitted in the morning procession.
Would the morning procession be cancelled if it rains?
No, in the event of rain on Saturday morning, the procession will be inside the GICC and ONLY the banner carrier and two others from each parish will be able to process.
When will Adoration be available at the Eucharistic Congress?
The Adoration Chapel will be open at the Mariott Hotel in the Piper Room for Nocturnal Adoration on Friday, June 21st – Saturday, June 22nd, 10:00 p.m. – 6:45 a.m. On Saturday, June 22, Adoration will be at the GICC in the Italian Suite from 6:45 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Where should the First Communicants be to participate in the procession?
The procession for first communicants at the Eucharistic Congress is Saturday, June 18th in the afternoon. Children should wear their First Communion attire and be dropped off by a parent or guardian in the hallway between Hall A and the Spanish Suite at 4:30-4:55 p.m.
Reserved seating is provided for first communicants and their parents. Parents must sit in reserved section, behind the first communicants, which is the first section on the right side of the center aisle when facing the altar.
It is very important that you are prompt. Please also make sure that the children use the restroom prior to being dropped off for the Procession. No children will be dismissed during Mass.
In case of rain on Saturday afternoon, the first communicants would not participate in the afternoon procession.
Can we bring our own food to the Eucharistic Congress?
Outside food, coolers and drinks are NOT ALLOWED at the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC). Food will be available for purchase.
Will poles be provided for the Morning Procession banners?
Yes, poles will be provided for banners. You can pick them up at the far west wall at the end of the concourse past Entrance D beginning at 7:30 a.m. To participate in the morning procession, please be in place by 8:15 a.m. Also, banners must be picked up prior to departure. Please leave the pole used for the banner in the wood based.
Is parking available at the Georgia International Convention Center?
Yes, parking is FREE BUT LIMITED!
Please consider carpooling or renting a bus to take large groups of parishioners to the Congress.

Will the Sacrament of Reconciliation be available during the Eucharistic Congress?
Yes! The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available during the Eucharistic Congress and can be heard in English, Spanish and other languages. Elderly and those with special needs will also be accommodated. For more details, see the Confessions schedule. Confessions time on Friday will be from 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Friday confessions are at the east area only.
Confessions on Saturday are heard at the south area in English and Spanish only and at the east area in English and Spanish. In addition, the east area will offer other available languages and assistance for people with special needs, from 12 noon until 3:30 pm.
Are we allowed to bring service animals?
People are allowed to bring service animals, but pets are not allowed and can not be left in cars or in the parking lot.
Are wheelchairs available?
Yes, wheelchairs are available by asking a greeter in the North Lobby at the “WELCOME” sign.
A valid ID is required.
